You could say Sarah & Will's story started in college while they were both at CSU. They had a lot of mutual friends (who even tried to set them up at one point) and many opportunities for their paths to cross. However, they never really remember officially "meeting" -

they just knew of one another.

It wasn’t until August 2020 at their friends’ Mark and Lindsey’s wedding that their story really began. 

They were both part of the wedding party and were paired up to walk down the aisle. They had fun together at the reception dancing and chatting. After the wedding, Will went back to New York, where he was living at the time, and Sarah went back home to Colorado. 

About a month later, Sarah planned a trip to NY to visit her brother and sister-in-law (shout out to Scott and Emily!). On her last day of the trip, Will and Sarah met up in NYC for drinks. She ended up extending her trip another few days so they could hang out again.  They spent the evening in Brooklyn where Will cooked her dinner on the rooftop with an amazing view of the city!

This is what they count as their first date.

With the distance between them, they remained great friends after her trip to NYC. In September of 2021, when Will visited Colorado while in the process of moving to Missouri, they pursued dating!

Only after a few dates during this time, they both knew they wanted to be together. After 7-months of long drives from CO to MO, Sarah decided to leave her job, sell her house and be with Will in Missouri. 

Today, they're in Hawaii and truly loving life together.

Some of their CSU friends are even there which makes everything feel full-circle - this was just meant to be.

 

They have already been on so many adventures together and have tried so many new things! 

It’s crazy to think that this is just the beginning!
